From humble beginnings as a DJ at school functions while still a student at Nyadire Mission in Mashonaland East province of Zimbabwe, MC Bonde has grown to host one of the biggest African festivals in North America held in Toronto Canada.
The charismatic lad who gained popularity as a DJ in the capital Harare has hosted events around the world including one attended by close to 20 000 revellers in Windhoek, Namibia.
In Canada, where he is based, MC Bonde who is now popularly referred to as the Voice of Africa, has been the master of ceremonies at events that include Independence day celebrations for African countries, among them Zimbabwe, Ghana, Namibia, Botswana, Nigeria and South Africa.
Born Keith Tinashe Kadete, MC Bonde is the first born in a family of two boys. He went to Southerton Primary School, later moving to Nettleton Primary from Grade 5 to 7. Bonde did his secondary education at Nyadiri Mission where he used to be the DJ at school functions.
He performed as a DJ at various nightclubs in Harare before he moved to Toronto, Canada in 2001 where he continued operating as a DJ. In Toronto, DJ Bonde gained fame when he became MC/Host at Eagle Haus, one of the popular African nightclubs in Toronto.
MC Bonde’s career in the entertainment business was elevated in 2011 when he was hired by Intercity Broadcasting Inc. o/a G987FM as a Radio host of The African Groove Show. The show played African Music with African Entertainment News. It ran until September 2021, when the radio station was sold.
He was re-hired by the new owners and management of CINO Radio o/a Flow 98.7FM to be the host of The African Groove Show every Sunday from 10pm to 1am.
MC Bonde has become a popular MC at corporate functions, charity events, parties, concerts, and weddings all over the world.
He hosted award ceremonies such as the African Entertainment Awards (2011 & 2012). He has been the official voice for the Giama Awards (Golden Icons), and is the official MC/Host of two of the biggest festivals in Ontario, Canada – Afrofest presented by Music Africa and the Scarborough Afro-Caribbean and afestival presented by Heritage Skills Development Centre (HSDC). He has been an, MC/Host at over 1800 weddings and over 2500 events worldwide.
He is also the host of The African Groove Show on Toronto’s urban commercial radio station: Flow 98.7FM (www.flow987fm.com) (@Flow987FM) every Saturday 10pm-1am.
MC Bonde who is also an actor made his acting debut a feature film, Clash, the Movie that was released by Diamond Pictures Inc. Canada. The movie features Nollywood superstar Omoni Oboli (the 1 st lady of Nollywood) and Pascal Atuma and is available on Netflix worldwide.

MC Bonde is a philanthropist who regularly contributes to Shamwari Yemwanasikana Organization, a Community Based Organisation that helps educate the girl-child.
He is married and has three children, Ryan, Riley and Rachel.
